Master Gardener Foundation of Kitsap County

The Kitsap County Master Gardener Foundation proudly provides funding and support for our area’s Ask a Master Gardener Clinics, Community Outreach efforts, and the four Demonstration Gardens spread throughout the county.

Community Outreach
You will run into our Kitsap County Master Gardeners what feels like everywhere – speaking events at Kitsap Libraries, teaching classes online and at our Demonstration Gardens, staffing events like the Kitsap County Fair and local Home and Garden Show, and Farmers Markets and many local festivals and events. We are passionate in sharing our love for environmental stewardship, sustainable gardening, water conservation, and our local pollinators. Come out and see us at an event near you.
Demonstration Gardens
We support four Demonstration Gardens in Kitsap County. These gardens serve as our living classrooms showcasing sustainable gardening techniques you can adopt at home. The Demonstration Gardens are where we host our Kids Gardening Programs every Summer. All the produce grown at each of our gardens is donated to local Kitsap food banks and community kitchens.
Our Foundation funds all the expenses it takes to run these fully functioning gardens. Everything from tools to seeds and soil, from pots to irrigation infrastructure. It takes a lot to run these gardens, but we believe that getting hands-on with gardening is the best way to learn.

Ask a Master Gardener Clinics
Need to find out what those brown spots on your rhododendron are? Or what that weird-looking bug climbing around your garden could be? Master Gardeners ready and willing to find research-based answers to all your gardening questions can be found at Farmer’s Markets throughout Kitsap County, in the WSU Extension Office at the Norm Dicks Government Building, and even through Zoom.
Our Foundation funds all the research materials and free handouts required to make our Ask a Master Gardener clinics a valuable – and free – gardening resource in Kitsap County.
